Help find the cure for Cancer!!

About a year and a half ago, my cute friend, Amy Greetham, passed away from cancer. She was only 22 years old. Many of my friends have participated in the Relay for Life, and I feel like I need to do my part in getting the word out about it. What is Relay For Life ?

So, you may be asking yourself (or at least you SHOULD be asking yourself:) "what can I do to help?" You can either DONATE to the cause of finding a cure for cancer, OR, you can donate products that you have made! IF YOU MAKE CARDS, THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU! I have been asked to help fill 60 of the cancer survivor's gift bags this year. I want to make it special for them! WE WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE ONE BLANK CARD FOR THE SURVIVORS TO WRITE A NOTE TO ONE PERSON WHO HELPED THROUGH THEIR RECOVERY! Also, we are including mini magnet boards, and are in need of cute magnets to give them! If you have magnets that you have made- or bought, we would love those too! If you have something you are willing to donate, PLEASE let me know!! rachellelaree@msn.com And a perk for YOU! If you donate to these gift bags, you will automatically be featured on She's Crafty- which means more traffic to your blog! Plus, you will get the satisfaction of knowing that you helped in a GREAT cause!!

We still need: 60 Magnets, 60 blank, handmade cards, and 60 cookies with a realy logo frosted on them- bakery must be in UT.

Our Senior year in High School, Amy was voted "Best Hair" in the year book. That is one thing that I always thought of when Amy was mentioned. Her gorgeous hair!!

Although her hair was gorgeous, she looked so beautiful without it, too! What a beautiful person she was!!

sorry for the loss of your friend, but glad to see that you are helping get the word out about relay for life.

My stepmother passed away 12/13/04 and our Relay for Life event was held this past Friday. You can see pictures of her luminary on my blog.

What type of items can be donated? Can you give me some examples so I can see if there is anything I can contribute?

I, too, lost a dear friend to cancer almost 2 years ago. I am very involved with RFL in my area and have had a team in her honor before. I am certainly interested in helping out with a donation. What are you looking for and what is the deadline to get the items to you?

Stopping over from TCB, btw. Nice blog.

I don't have anything, but that makes me so sad. She still looked so happy and so beautiful! It gives me tingles. She must have been a really special girl.

Rachelle,

I'd be happy to make cards. I take it you would just want them embellished and decorated without a sentiment on the front as well as blank inside, is that right?

Just let me know how many you need and when you need them by.

Rachelle,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your beautiful friend. What a wonderful way to honor her and others with cancer! I'd love to help. I came by way of TCB. I'm not sure yet if I'll do magnets or notecards, but I'll think on it for a day and let you know, ok?

Blessings,
Tracy

Rachelle,

I'm also so sorry to read about your beautiful friend. I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you and her family.

I know she would be SO PROUD of you for doing what you are doing.

I'm also involved with RFL. My son is a brain tumor survivor! He was dx at 16.

I can't make home-made cards, but I could buy some really pretty ones and mail them to you.

Just let me know how to do this.

Blessings♥
