I have been wanting one of these "so totally IN" hats as I like to call them. So, I finally found one with a price tag that didn't make me run away. I found it at Family Dollar of all places!!! It was only $3! I admit, I think the peace sign is kinda cute... but it's just NOT me. So, I did something to change that!:)

I bought some fake silk flowers at the dollar store (love that place!) and also bought some bagged tea. I boiled the tea and stuck a bunch of bright wight flowers in it and soaked it over night. The end result was a nice browned edge on the flowers, and kind of tainted. It was just the look I was going for! Then I popped a covered button in the middle and hot glued it to my hat!

Now it is much less "peace, man..." and much more ME! Whata ya think?

Super cute!
Looks great! You look beautiful!
very cute and great idea!
So so adorable! You look so gorgeous Rachelle!
Wow! I love it. I'm not much of a hat person, but I like the thing you did to the flower!
The hat has a much more sophisticated look now. I'm not into following the trends and feeling the love of the "peace" sign. So, I'm happy to see you were able to get a cute project out of it.
