Heartfelt Wall Hangings!

Whoa. Please excuse my looooong absence! I have never gone this long without blogging here! I have been SUPER DUPER busy with my photography lately. I have started shooting preschools and private schools in the Salt Lake/Utah counties, and believe I have found my nich in photography! ANYWAY, I'm not blogging to tell you about my photography. I'm blogging to tell you about my super awesome birthday bash!! :) This year, I had me and the gals in my fam go to Heartfelt Wall Hangings and make a craft! K, if you live in UTAH, this is a MUST go to place! Not only is this super fun, but it's totally affordable and Hiedi (the gal who owns and runs it) is fabulous!! She is super nice and accomodating! I went again today (a month after my bday party) and made some adorable decor, and Hiedi even provided the cookies and diet coke! HELLO people! Is that not amazing!?

We each picked out the craft kit we wanted to complete and then sat there and chatted, ate some treats, and painted our wood to put adorable vinyl lettering on.
Here I am, showing off my adorable Welcome Home hanger that is now hanging ever so cutely right next to my front door.

This is the Family picture holder my Mom made. Stinking cute! It holds three pictures! (of coarse I took the liberty of putting pics of my boys that I had taken on those for her:)

And every month, Hiedi offers a FREE (yes, totally FREE) project to make when you attend a workshop class. She has classes three days a week, I believe, and several different times to choose from! I love these cute picture holders, and I love them even more cause they were....free! Check her blog to see when classes are!

And lastly, a cute pic of my Mom with her finished project and her latest grandbaby! Our sweet Cosette!:)

Curb Appeal!

First impressions are SO important! So, having a great curb appeal is too! It's the first impression of your house, and the way you live! Here are a few ideas on how to update, or freshen up the look of your home!

Other things you can do to spruce up your curb appeal:
-spray paint some pots and plant flowers to put on your door step
-put out a cute bench, or seating area.
-put some pillows on your bench or chairs.
-vinyl lettering is inexpensive, and can make a big statement!
-landscaping- change up the plants in your yard- we are going to plant drought- resistant plants this fall!
-hang a cute wreath, or seasonal decoration--but be sure to only hang your favorites, so you don't look like you have a year round yard sale:)

Baby room decor

This is just a little decoration I made for my friend's little baby girl! I got the wood letter at Robert's, and painted it, then cut out the vinyl on my cricut, and tied some ribbons around it to match her room!

Halloween Decorations...a little late.

A cute broom I found for a buck, and a pre-arranged flower bouquet for a buck. Throw it together, and you've got an adorable Fall decoration!

Decorating the inside of our armoire:

I decided that I hate when people would come over and see our ugly mess of an armoire when they walk through our front door. So in an effort to take the focus off the cords, etc, I put some vinyl lettering up on the inside of the door! I am still going to tape the cords to the outside of the armoire so they aren't visible, but for now, I am looking at my cute lettering:)

Happy Birthday sign!

I made this sign so that on each of my family member's birthdays, I can put this on our front door, so that everyone knows that we are havin a party that day!:) And to make the birthday boy or girl feel super special! I bought the sign at the dollar store, painted it green, cut some vinyl with my cricut, slapped it on, added some ribbon, and that is it!:)

Wedding Gift for one of my best gal pals:)

We have been friends since we were about 4 years old. I am so happy that she found a great guy to spend eternity with!:)

Easter Egg Wreath and front door Welcome!

I made this wreath out of plastic easter eggs from the dollar store. I just hot glued them onto a green florist wreath and wrapped some rafia around it, and stuffed the empty spots with florist moss, and hung it on my front door!
Here it is, with the vinyl lettering I made that says "Welcome to our home":)
Don't judge me by my dirty front door...sorry 'bout that!

Reversible Spring time sign!

I am all about saving space... so I decided that I would paint my blocks and then put lettering on BOTH sides! Now it doubles as a Spring time Sign that says "Bloom where you are planted", and another decoration on the back that says "There's no place like home"! I glued a flower to this side to spice it up a bit! I know you can't see it real well in the pictures...but you get the idea!:)

Bedroom Decor!

I bought some "accent fabric" for my fall colored bedroom and recovered the bench on my cedar chest, and also made a neckroll pillow complete with tassels to put on my bed!


This is a chandelier style hook that I hung all my neckalces and braclettes on! It really does look like a little jewelry chandelier!
And finally, I put this above my closet, so that I can see it before I fall asleep each night. It is an excellent reminder! Sometimes I accidentally look up at it, and then remember that I need to Pray!:)

Baby Shower Gift!

My best gal pal is having a baby boy and so I gave her a few things with his name on them! I got him a little step stool- something that my little guy LOVES- and put his name in vinyl on it! Then I turned it upside down and filled it with a nursing cover that I made, a magnet board with his name in vinyl and some magnets that I also made, and a scrapbook calendar! Then I just wrapped it up with cellophane wrap and tied it with a little blue ribbon! And there ya have it! A cute idea for a baby shower gift!

Cute Water Bottles

If you are like me, you have a hard time drinking plain old water. So, I decided that I needed to motivate myself a little and jazz up the water bottles in my cupboard! One is green with yellow stars all over it, and the other is purple with a white birdie:) Hopefully I will start drinking lots of water, instead of my favorite....coke!

Family Home Evening Board

This is a little family home evening board, and I put little house cut outs with our names in vinyl. (YES, I realize that I don't have a son named Owen, but someday I will! And NO I am not pregnant at the moment:)

Tile Plaques

Here are a few tile plaques that I slapped some vinyl lettering on! I think they are cute! There is an awesome store near me that sells home improvement stuff way cheap, and I got the tiles for 25 cents each! Woo!
